Home Safety

- Always lock all doors
and windows, even if you are at home.
- Install and use a wide-angle peephole in exterior
doors.
- Always use timers on
interior lights when you are going to be away for an extended period of
time.
- Always contact your
local police for an "extra watch" on your home when you are away.
- Always engrave
identification markings (NO SS#s) on your valuables.
- Always report suspicious
activity in your neighborhood to the police.
- Always keep bushes and
trees trimmed away from windows and entry points to avoid creating hiding
places for criminals.
- Install and use security lights around the perimeter
of your house.
- Always keep your house
address clearly visible from the street during the day AND night, so that
emergency personnel can see your street address numbers.
- Consider getting a dog, if you don't have
one.
- Install and use an electronic home security
system.
- Contact your local law enforcement agency for a home
security evaluation.
LEAVE NOTHING TO CHANCE.
